What is a website template?
SpiritLive has purposely built Website Styles that create a tailored look and feel for your Catholic parish, school, or organisation. The templates can be changed at any time after your site is built. A custom template can be built for you for a small additional price.

Do I need to purchase any hardware or software?
No. SpiritLive is a server driven application, which means that you log into the application with a login ID, and Password. All you need is an Internet connection and Microsoft Explorer 5.5 or above.

Do I need to know HTML or any program language?
No. If you can point and click with your mouse, you can manage your SpiritLive website.

What is a website address, URL or Domain name?
A website address or URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is used to identify and locate your website pages on the Internet. Computers use Internet protocol (IP) numbers to locate each other on the Internet (much like telephone numbers). These are hard to remember. Simple web addresses, such as www.stmarys.catholicau.com are used instead and linked to identify Internet IP addresses.

Do I have to buy my own web address?
No. Each SpirtLive subscriber is able to select a unique SpirtLive web address for free. Guidelines in the SpirtLive Content Collection Booklet will help you to select your unique name.

What technology does SpiritLive use?
We based our foundation on IBM Hardware Products and Sun Microsystems and Java Software. Our Java service based software ensures security and delivers a robust solution to your web development and hosting needs. Our technology allows SpirtLive to be expanded and have new features added in the future.

How many pages do I have for my local content?
Each SpiritLive site will feature seven pages. Every Catholic parish, school, hospital and organisation will have 4 pages for local content and information. Three additional pages (from our Diocese, Catholic News, and Gospel Reflection) will be automatically updated by trusted Catholic sources.

How do I get my website onto the Internet after I have finished building it?
The SpiritLive tool will guide you through the process and ask if you would like to "Publish" your website to the Internet. It is as easy as a CLICK OF THE MOUSE.

Can I customise my website?
Yes, you can custom upload new logos, images, pictures, change templates, and edit the text and presentation style of your local content.

Can I upload graphics or animated graphics on my website?
Yes, you may use any GIF (gif) or JPG (jpg) image on your website. SpiritLive makes it easy. All you need to do is locate your file on your hard drive and upload to your website using the SpiritLive tool.

What if I want to change my website design after it has been published to the Internet?
SpirtLive will allow you access to your website at any time from any computer. Just login and if you want to change anything you can - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Where do I go to manage my website?
SpirtLive has its own website where you can add/delete/update information and alter your design. Go to www.spiritlive.info and login with your own unique login ID and password.
